There's Something About A June Bride

Alas, the last day of  the most popular wedding month -- June!  If you have your heart set on being a June bride next year then start planning now!!!  My daughter was married June 27, 2009, and we started planning June 1, 2008.  Church dates book up fast so that was the first thing she did! We were lucky to get the last weekend.  Good times!! So to CELEBRATE early planning, I'm pleased to post a few things from my shop to get things going.

No Words

I went to Mass this morning and it was the usual small group.  At the beginning when the priest comes out to the altar I was expecting to  see one of the older priests enter, but today the priest saying Mass was a former student of mine.  I knew he had become a priest, but today seeing him up there "in charge" so to speak, I was so filled with pride and love for this young man.  I remember him well, as he was one of those inconspicuously perfect students.  He had a special place in my heart in that second grade desk just as he has now. 

I'm CELEBRATING that special feeling I have right now in my soul!

Mmmm Good!

 After pinning and pinning and pinning and pinning recipes to try on my Recipes To Try Board on Pinterest I finally got around to trying one of them.  So glad I did!  Huge hit with family and not difficult.  

I tweaked it by browning the chicken tenders quickly and then I sauteed the other ingredients in the same skillet in olive oil and the butter (after removing the chicken).  Those chicken bits really added to the flavor of the sauce.  After the sauce was done, I put the chicken tenders back into the skillet and let them finish cooking.  I'd love to know if anyone tries this and what they thought!

Very Pinteresting!

Today I'd like to CELEBRATE Pinterest -- that new little next thing that could suck so much time out of your day and you would gladly let it!

I've always been one to pull favorite things out of magazines and file them away in case I ever wanted to look at them again.  It's as though they invented Pinterest just for me.  In this and in future posts I'd like to share some of my favorite pins from my Amazing Animals Board.  Maybe they're your favorites, too.
